SPECTACULAR BROWNING OLYMPIAN GRADE 458 MAGNUM WITH LEUPOLD OPTICS.BROWNINGOLYMPIAN66700L74458MODERNManufactured 1974 with 24" safari weight bbl with blade front sight and folding express rear sight. Factory engraved and signed by multiple engravers on receiver and floorplate. Coin finish receiver with spectacular highly figured European walnut stock with rosewood forend tip and Browning white line recoil pad. Attached in Redfield bases and Redfield engraved 1" rings is a Leupold 3X scope with duplex reticle. Receiver is dual game scene engraved with left front receiver ring having a vignette of a large bull elephant with forest scene in background and signed R. Dewil. On right front of receiver ring is engraved a vignette of a walking rhino with forest scene in background and also signed R. Dewil. Balance of receiver is engraved in foliate and arabesque as is chamber area with engraving extending 2" from receiver. Floorplate is magnificently engraved with a vignette of a charging Cape Buffalo breaking through the brush with foliate and arabesque engraving top and bottom and signed in the vignette ABEE (for Angelo Bee). Trigger guard is similarly engraved in miniature a magnificent lion with head protruding from brush with small forest scene in background and signed AM underneath engraved panel. Strengthening pins through the stock are also coin finish and elegantly engraved in a small florette. The magnificent highly figured Monte Carlo stock is beautifully checkered and carved with elegant scrolls, bordering the forearm and surrounded by extremely fine checkering. Wrist is embellished in same fashion with large scrolls and oak leaf pattern with extremely fine checkering with stippling fore and aft. A rosewood grip cap with gold diamond inlay and finished in a high gloss piano finish that is in super condition. CONDITION: Virtually new, with only the slightest traces of edge wear at very extreme corner of muzzle with no visible imperfections elsewhere in metal. Buttstock has two or three small compression bruises below sling swivel towards toe and one almost indiscernible bruise in forend tip. Rifle has been diligently inspected and there is no issue with salt wood. A truly magnificent triple-signed Olympian. 51033-24 TDW (6,000-10,000)
