MURPHY'S (BRIAN MURRAY GUNSMITH) ORIGINAL OBERNDORF SQUARE BRIDGE MAGNUM MAUSER DANGEROUS GAME RIFLE IN .375 H&H. BRIAN MURPHY BOLT RIFLE 87787 375 H&H MODERN (on bottom of receiver, must be taken out of stock to view) Cal. 375 H&H. 23-1/2" Heavy round bbl is fitted with one standing leaf removable express rear sight in quarter rib, cut for Talley type scope rings. A sling eye and long front ramp are banded on. Ramp holds gold bead and has knurled sight protector secured by detent. Top of bbl is engraved "Murphy's .375 H & H". Matte finished orig Mauser magnum length action with square bridge is marked with "Waffenfabrik Mauser" and Oberndorf address on sidewall. Bolt has standard flag safety with checkered top in standard pear shaped knob with four checkered panels. A single stage commercial trigger has been fitted. British view proof is on left side of receiver ring. Drop box bottom metal has hinged floorplate with retaining button in trigger guard bow. Nicely streaked and marbled European walnut steel capped pistol grip stock measures 13-3/4" over Silver type pad, and features swept shadow line right hand cheekpiece, two steel reinforcing pins through stock, borderless point pattern checkering at grip and forend, ebony forend tip, and a wide sling eye on toe line. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/8", drop at comb: approx 1-3/4". Cast: Neutral. Weight: 10 lbs. 4 oz. LOP: 13-3/4". CONDITION: Excellent, retaining essentially all of its fine custom finishes on wood and metal with only a few very light handling marks. Checkering is crisp.
