CUSTOM ENGRAVED PRE 64 MODEL 70 WINCHESTER WITH BAUSH & LOMB. WINCHESTER MODEL 70 ENGRAVED 275493 30-06 MODERN; C&R Cal. 30-06. Manufactured 1953 with 24" bbl with standard checkered Pre 64 Model 70 rifle stock with steel checkered buttplate. Mounted with factory swing swivels and Baush & Lomb quick detachable scope mount and rings with a balvar 4-power scope with post and crosshair reticle. Expertly engraved on bbl with scroll and vine with faded background of dot punch. Floorplate and trigger guard engraved by the same hand with a silver inlaid large bear with mountain scene in background and surrounded by foliate arabesque with same on trigger guard with a single line border on exterior. Work is not signed but is of extremely good quality and quite aesthetically pleasing. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall as refinished at time of engraving. A very high polish blue on bbl, bolt handle and cocking assembly shows no wear, distress or finish loss. Engraved floorplate and trigger guard assembly are likewise as fine and silver inlay has taken on a very pleasant aged patina. Scope and mounts are crystal clear and are in factory new condition. Winchester stock is extremely fine and has had an additional coat of finish applied but was not sanded or had any material removed.
