B. RIZZINI 20 BORE OVER-UNDER SHOTGUN WITH FINE SCROLL AND GAME SCENES BY GIOVANELLI AND CORTINI WITH EXCEPTIONAL BURL WALNUT STOCKS (WOOD SUPPLIED BY W. L. MOORE) WITH CASE.B. RIZZINIOU S792EMEL2649120 GAMODERNCal. 20 ga. 3" Chambers. 28" Mono-bloc bbls fitted with narrow, matted, ventilated rib, are engraved "Rizzini Marcheno V. T. Italy" on left side of rib, and "William Larkin Moore & Co" on right. Mono-bloc is stamped with 1997 Italian nitro proofs for 3" chambers. Coin finished, sideplated, boxlock, low profile, OU action features single selective trigger. Action is engraved with 80% coverage well cut small scroll with fine Bulino vignette of woodcock flying through alder branches on bottom under grade in forend iron mortise. Sideplates with more scroll, also feature game birds; quail flying over western environment on left, and snipe diving over marsh on right. "RIZZINI" is on each lockplate. Engravers signatures "C Giovanelli" and "Don Cortini" are on trigger plate. Spectacular, flesh toned, burl figured, and nicely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over checkered wood butt. (This wonderful wood was supplied by W. L. Moore for this gun, which may have been a promotional piece.) Stock features point pattern checkering and a vacant gold oval. Matching one piece forend has Anson type release. Bore diameter: top -.622, bottom - .622. Bore restrictions: top - .014 (mod), bottom - .014 (mod). Drop at heel: 2", drop at comb: 1-9/16". Cast: Neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 0 oz. LOP: 14-1/8". Tan leather case with stitched leather corners is lined in burgundy cloth with black B R label in lid, and contains a pair of snap caps, cleaning rod with implements, and stock removal tool. Also proof certificates. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, very near to new, with only the lightest of handling marks in all factory finishes. Mechanically crisp. Case is excellent, with a few minor rubs on leather.
