SUPERB LUCIANO BOSIS MICHELANGELO OVER-UNDER GAME GUN ENGRAVED BY TERZI WITH CASE.LUCIANO BOSISOU MICHELANGELO21712GAMODERNCal. 12 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. Luciano Bosis custom makes approx 25 guns per year, all of the finest quality. Engraving is normally contracted directly by the customer, and a new Bosis retails at over $60,000.00 without engraving. This particular gun has 27-5/8" demi-bloc bbls by Luterotti, which are beautifully struck. They are fitted with slightly raised, medium width, matted, solid rib. Left side of top bbl is engraved "L. BOSIS". Bbl flat is stamped with 1998 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers, and with importers name and address (N E Arms). Boss style, low profile, coin finished, OU action features automatic safety (SAFE engraved), hand detachable locks with H&H type takedown pin, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with near full coverage, truly exceptional, well cut, dramatic, large, scrolling acanthus interspersed with floral highlights. "L. Bosis" is in small riband on each side of action. Engravers signature, "M Terzi" (Mario) is on trigger plate. Very fine, beautifully marbled and nicely flame figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/8" over checkered wood butt. Very well cut point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. A silver oval engraved "RBA" is on toe line. Matching, near fully checkered, one piece forend has Anson type release, with button in wrap-around forend tip, with inlet gold Bosis crest on uncheckered central diamond. Bore diameter: top -.730, bottom - .730. Bore restrictions: top - .020 (mod), bottom - .009 (IC). Wall thickness: top - .022, bottom - .024. Drop at heel: 1-15/16", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast off approx 3/8". Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz. LOP: 14-5/8". High quality leather case with brass corners by Nizzoli, is lined in burgundy cloth, and has gold embossed black leather Bosis label in lid. Case contains a pair of L. Bosis signed snap caps, spare mainsprings, strikers, and cocking tool in plastic case, along with the key. PROVENANCE: Proof certificate, with specifications. CONDITION: Excellent, near to new, with only a few minor marks on wood and metal finishes, most notably a number of light scratches on left side of butt, as would be associated with casual use afield. Bores are excellent. Mechanically crisp. Case leather has a few minor scratches. Straps and handle are excellent. Interior is excellent, with a few minor rubs. 50623-11 mgm15 (30,000-45,000)
