20 GAUGE FAMARS "EXCALIBUR" OVER-UNDER GAME GUN WITH CASE.FAMARSOU EXCALIBURFO43620 GAMODERNCal. 20 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. 30" Mono-bloc bbls are fitted with interchangeable choke tubes (2 in bbls), have solid, matted rib and are engraved "FAMARS ITALY" on rib extension on mono-bloc. Bottom of mono-bloc is stamped with 2003 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Round body, coin finished, low profile, OU action with removable trigger/ firing group, features automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with attractive large open scroll with floral highlights, with well shaded background. This fine scroll surrounds Bulino scene of chukar partridge flying over foothills on bottom of action. Engravers signature "Milani" is at the bottom of this scene. "Abbiatico & Salvinelli" is on double arched ribbon in forend iron mortise. Trigger guard extension with more attenuated scroll extends to engraved rounded steel grip cap. Nicely stump figured and beautifully marbled flesh toned European walnut "Prince of Wales" grip buttstock measures 14-7/16" over fully checkered wood butt. Closely spaced point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. Matching one piece forend has Anson type release. Drop at heel: 2-1/8", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast: neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 0 oz. LOP: 14-7/16". Dark blue ABS Famars marked case with tan leather trim is lined in green velvet and contains snap caps and socks for bbls and action. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, appears essentially unfired since proof, and has only a few light handling and assembly marks in wood and metal finishes, most notably some light knocks on right side of buttstock in front of grip.
