VERY FINE, LONG BARRELED SHOTGUN, 20 BORE PIOTTI "B S E E" WITH EXCEPTIONAL WOOD AND ORIGINAL BOX.PIOTTISXS BSEE980020 GAMODERNCal. 20 ga. 3" Chambers. 29" Chopper lump bbls with matted game rib are engraved "Flli PIOTTI ITALY" on left bbl. Bbl flats are stamped with SN, Piotti logo, and 2003 Italian nitro proofs for 3" chambers. Bottoms of bbls are marked with importer (W L Moore) and model. Small sized, coin finished, ogee-backed, boxlock action features non-automatic safety and dbl triggers (front "loose" to minimize finger damage during recoil). Action is engraved with very well cut traditional rose and scroll with engravers signature "A Cartelli" on trigger plate. Matching single beaded trigger guard has SN on tang. Obviously specially selected, finely marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/8" over checkered wood butt, and features diamond hand with well cut point pattern checkering with line borders. Matching beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.622, right - .622. Bore restrictions: left - .017 (mod), right - .017 (mod). Drop at heel: 2-1/4", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast: approx 1/4" on. Weight: 6 lbs. 9 oz. LOP: 14-5/8". Gun comes in what is most likely its orig wood grain printed box with end label for a gun of this model. Box contains bags for action and bbls. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a few light handling and assembly marks on all wood and metal finishes. Mechanically crisp.
