.410 GARBI MODEL "103B ROYAL" SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH FINE SELECTED STOCK. GARBI SXS 103B ROYAL 27-03-127-00 410 MODERN Cal. 410. 28" Chopper lump bbls with raised, hand matted, concave rib, are engraved "ARMAS GARBI SPAIN" and "WILLIAM LARKIN MOORE, SCOTTSDALE AZ. MOD 103-A" on tops. Bbl flats are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs for 3" chambers. Bbls are fitted with H&H type self-opening assist spring. Coin finished, small sized, sidelock action features non-automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, H&H type detachable locks, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with near full coverage varying sized scroll with floral highlights, similar to Holland's style. "ARMAS GARBI" is gold inlaid in central arch on each lockplate, and engraved on bottom of action. Single beaded trigger guard has more scroll and partial SN "127" on tang. Very finely marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/8" over checkered wood butt with engraved steel heel and toe plates, and features classic drop points, point pattern checkering with mullered borders, and vacant gold oval. Matching long splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.399, right - .398. Drop at heel: 2-7/16", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Cast: Neutral. Weight: 5 lbs.12 oz. LOP: 14-5/8". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, nearly new, with scant evidence of much firing since proof, with a few light handling and assembly marks on wood and metal. Mechanically excellent. Although marked as a "103A", this gun has the easy opening mechanism as found on the "103B". Also it is interesting to note that Garbi shotguns are not usually offered in .410.
