FINE 28 GAUGE GARBI 103A SPECIAL SHOTGUN WITH SUPERB WOOD. GARBI SXS 103A SPL 27-03-074-03 28 GA MODERN Cal. 28 ga. 29" Chopper lump bbls with narrow, concave, matted game rib are marked with makers name, importer (WLM Scottsdale), and grade on tops. Bbl flats are stamped with SN and Spanish nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Case hardened sidelock action features non-automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved in well done, classic, English rose and scroll with makers name and address on bottom. Scroll engraved and blued trigger guard has last two sets of SN engraved on tang. Striking, wonderfully figured and marbled European walnut (this model is supposed to have selected walnut, but this stock is a cut above) straight grip buttstock measures 14-7/8" over checkered wood butt, and features lozenge shaped drop points, point pattern checkering at grip, and a vacant gold oval on toe line. Matching long splinter forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.545, right - .546. Bore restrictions: left - .019 (mod), right - .007 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/8", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Cast: approx 5/8" off. Weight: 6 lbs. 1 oz. LOP: 14-7/8". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially near new, with only a few light handling marks in all its fine wood and metal finishes. Mechanically crisp.
