VERY FINE GOLD INLAID KRIEGHOFF MODEL 32 "CROWN" GRADE SHOTGUN WITH EXTRA BARRELS AND CASE. KRIEGHOFF OU MODEL 32 CROWN 1043 12 GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 12 ga. Both sets of 30" mono-bloc bbls are fitted with raised, ventilated ribs, and engraved with maker, model, and steel type on left sides of top bbls. SNs and proofs are on bottoms of mono-blocs. One bbl set matches action, the other is numbered "1343". Blued flat sided action has had safety rendered inoperable, and features gold plated single selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage well cut open shaded scroll surrounding vignettes of game birds and dogs with major subjects in semi-relief gold; on left side, a pointing setter with pointer honoring, watch a trio of grouse flush from small meadow, with deep forest in background. Right side depicts 4 pheasant, 3 flushing and one running across glade. Bottom of action has gold inlaid sovereign's crown over "Krieghoff" "Model 32" in gold. Nicely flame figured American walnut capped pistol grip Monte Carlo buttstock measures 14" over black open sided white line pad. An aftermarket silver grip cap has relief scroll flanking circular Texas Trapshooters Assn Zone IV medallion. Checkering on side panels and grip are of skip line type. Matching beavertail type forend has Deeley type release. 1043 BBL SET: Bore diameter: top -.721, bottom - .720. Bore restrictions: top - .038 (full), bottom - .032 (full). Drop at heel: 2-1/4", drop at rear of Monte Carlo: 1-13/16", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Cast: Neutral. Weight: 8 lbs. 15 oz. LOP: 14". 1343 BBL SET: Bore diameter: top -.729, bottom - .729. Brown leather case is lined in green variegated cloth, and contains two keys. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, showing relatively little use, with only a few handling marks in all finishes. Varnish is lifting at top of grip on left side, and there are some compressions on right side of butt. Second set of bbls fit well, but tight. Ejectors are slightly out of time. Trigger works.
