SCARCE PARKER CHE SHOTGUN.PARKERCHE23386312 GAMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 2-3/4" chambers. 30" bbls. Full length matted rib with brass front bead and marked "Parker Bros. Makers Meriden. CT. U.S.A. ACME Steel". 1-1/2" frame. Water table with SN and grade designation. BBl flats with unstruck bbl weight of 4 lbs 1 oz. and stamped "Parker Bros. Overload Proved". Nickel plated double triggers. Auto ejectors. Auto safety. French walnut capped full pistol grip buttstock with large silver oval engraved with initial "M.D.R." Checkered in typical C pattern with drop points behind action Grip cap marked "Parker Bros. Meriden Conn.". Splinter forearm checkered in typical C pattern with engraved Deely latch and engraved steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved with setter on right, pointer on left surrounded by well executed Parker scroll. Bottom of frame engraved with scroll and trigger plate near fully engraved with scroll and oversized quail in farm scene. Trigger guard bow is scroll engraved and floral border pattern at tang with SN noted. Breech balls, top of frame, and top lever are scroll engraved with geometric design. Bore diameter: left - .729, right - .731. Bore restrictions: left - .035 (full), right - .037 (full). Minimum wall thickness: left - .038, right - .028. Weight: 7 lbs. 9 oz. Drop at comb: 1-9/16", drop at heel: 3". LOP: 14-7/8 with 1-3/8" well fitted wood extension over checkered butt. CONDITION: Excellent as refurbished, likely by Delgrego. Bbls retain 85-90% of an older restored finish with a few light spots of oxidation. Receiver retains most of its Delgrego style cyanide case hardened finish, more than 90% present. Buttstock is very good. Checkering lightly thinned with finish flaking in numerous spots on butt and handling marks and light scratches throughout. Forearm is excellent with minor grain separation towards iron that extends into checkering with scattered light handling marks and hunting bumps. Forearm latch and tip retain most of their restored cyanide color. Bores are excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Ejectors are in time. 50604-5 JSL (4,500-7,500)
