SCARCE ALL OPTION PARKER DHE TRAP GUN.PARKERDHE21900412 GAMODERN; C&R; IVORYCal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4" Cham. 30" Titanic steel bbls with Parker full length matted ventilated rib. Twin ivory beads. 1-1/2 frame. Water table marked with SN and grade designation. Bbl flats stamped "Overload proved / Parker Bros." Unstruck bbl weight 4 lbs. Proper beavertail forearm reinforcement lug. Nickel plated and checkered Parker type single selective trigger, non-auto safety, auto ejectors. Capped full pistol grip buttstock of flame grained American walnut checkered in typical "D" grade fashion with teardrop behind action and Monte Carlo at comb. Engraved nickel shield at toe with initials "WMD". Later "Parker / Ilion, N.Y." grip cap and modern Hawkins ventilated pad. Beavertail forearm with Deeley latch engraved in typical "D" pattern and finely checkered in floral point pattern with mullered borders. Action is engraved in typical later DHE pattern with pointer on left, setter on right surrounded by Parker's scroll. Bottom of action lightly scroll engraved with four pheasants surrounded by scroll. Trigger guard bow is nicely scroll engraved with SN noted at tang. Bbl flats also with Remington repair codes of "CG" & "EF" indicating the gun was back at Remington October 1937 & April 1938. Bore diameter: left - .730, right - .732. Bore restrictions: left - .035 (full), right - .021 (MOD). Minimum wall thickness: left - .029, right - .030 . Weight: 8 lbs. 8 oz. Drop at comb: 1-1/2", drop at heel: 1-15/16", rear of Monte Carlo: 1-/12". LOP: 14-1/2" from rear position single trigger. CONDITION: Extremely fine as competently refurbished. Bbls retain nearly all of a fine quality rust blue, breech engraving slightly lightened and bbls are a tad off face. Receiver retains nearly all of its properly nearly all of its restored blue. Buttstock and forearm retain nearly all of their custom finish. Tiny grain separation on left side of beavertail forearm at frame. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are bright and shiny. Trigger works well and ejectors are in time. The Parker serialization book does not list all of the current extras that are currently found on this gun however, it is possible or even likely they were done on one of the noted return trips to Remington. 50604-4 JSL (5,000-7,500)
