EARLY PARKER DHE SHOTGUN.PARKERDHE15305512 GAMODERN; C&R; IVORYCal. 12 ga. 2-5/8" Cham. 32" Titanic steel bbls with Parker full length matted rib. Ivory mid bead and brass front bead. 2 frame. Water table marked with SN and grade designation. Bbl flats stamped. Unstruck bbl weight 4 lbs. 5 oz. Bottom rib and toe of stock with sling swivels. Miller single selective trigger, non-auto safety, auto ejectors. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in typical "D" grade fashion with teardrop behind action. Un-engraved nickel shield at toe. "Parker Bros. Meriden, Conn." grip cap and modern "Old English" Pachmayr pad. Replacement Beavertail forearm with Deeley latch engraved in typical "D" pattern checkered in 5-point diamond pattern not resembling Parker factory pattern as latch is in carved recess. Action is engraved in typical later DHE pattern with pointer on left, setter on right surrounded by Parker's scroll. Bottom of action lightly scroll engraved with four pheasants surrounded by scroll. Trigger guard bow is nicely scroll engraved with SN noted at tang. Bore diameter: left - .729, right - .729. Bore restrictions: left - .037 (full), right - .034 (full). Minimum wall thickness: left - .033, right - .030. Weight: 8 lbs. 3 oz. Drop at comb: 1-7/16", drop at heel: 2-1/4". LOP: 13-1/4" from rear position single trigger. CONDITION: Extremely fine as competently refurbished. Bbls retain nearly all of a fine quality old rust blue. Receiver retains nearly all of its proper Parker style case hardening and could easily be an early factory re-case color. Engraving is extremely sharp with no detail lost. Trigger guard retains most all of its restored blue. An extra small screw has been placed through SN at tang. Original buttstock shows added finish and minor handling marks. Forearm as mentioned above is an unrefined modern replacement with minor grain separation noted a knuckle of frame in 3 places. Checkering is crisp though lightly worn. Mechanics are very good. Bores are bright and shiny. Bbls are on face. Miller trigger works well and ejectors are in time. 50604-12 JSL (3,250-5,000)
