TRULY EXCEPTIONAL HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION PARKER PHE 10 GA SHOTGUN WITH PARKER STEEL BBLS AND BEAVERTAIL FOREND. PARKER PHE 217572 10 GA MODERN; C&R; IVORY Cal. 10ga. 32" Parker steel bbls, 2-3/4" Cham., full length matted rib with twin ivory beads marked "Parker Bros., Makers. Meriden, CT., U.S.A. Parker Steel", "3" frame 10 Ga with unstruck bbl weight of 5 lb. 9 oz. Double triggers, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Straight grip stock checkered in 2-point pattern with nickel shield and Pachmayr waffle pad. Large beavertail forearm checkered in 3-point pattern with correct reinforcing bolt that shows high polish blue at tip. Receiver is engraved in typical "P" grade pattern with light scroll and border engraving. Bore diameter: left - .775, right - .779. Bore restrictions: left - .039 (full), right - .042 (full). Minimum wall thickness: left - .050, right - .046. Weight: 10 lbs. 6 oz. Drop at comb: 1-3/4", drop at heel: 2". LOP: 14". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as found. Bbls retain 95-97% orig toned blued finish with light blue remaining on the rib extension and orig file marks at breech indicating a nearly unused gun. Receiver retains 90%+ orig case hardening which is deep and bold throughout with just beginning spotting and oxidation most notably on left breech ball and trigger plate. Trigger guard retains nearly all of its bright orig blued finish. Triggers appear case hardened. Buttstock and forearm are extremely fine retaining nearly all of their orig finish with minor handling marks, checkering is crisp. This gun ranks among the finest steel bbl 10 Ga "P" grade Parker's this cataloger has examined and is extremely rare in this configuration. 50594-7 JSL (8,000-14,000)
