FABULOUS CONSECUTIVE SERIAL NUMBERED PAIR OF PARKER VHE 20 GAUGE SKEET CONFIGURED GUNS.PARKER/PARKERVHE SKEET240686/24068720GAMODERN; C&R; IVORY1) Cal. 20 ga. 26" bbls with 2-3/4" chambers. Full length matted rib with ivory front bead. #0 frame. Water table marked with SN and grade designation and bbl flats with unstruck bbl weight of 3 lbs. 3 oz. and production code "KG" (May 1938). Parker SST, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Straight grip finely figured American walnut stock checkered in 2-pt pattern with nickel shield with initials "FLB" engraved. Large beavertail forearm checkered in 3-pt pattern with Deeley latch and proper reinforcing bolt at tip. Buttstock with slightly mushrooming old leather faced pad which appears orig and untouched. Receiver with typical zig-zag border pattern engraving and marked "Parker" on bottom frame. Trigger guard with zig-zag border pattern and SN noted at tang. Bore diameter: left - .615, right - .616. Bore restrictions: left - .020 (mod), right - .016 (mod). Minimum wall thickness: left - .018 (2" in front of forearm, otherwise .022), right - .025 . Weight: 7 lbs. Drop at comb: 1-1/2", drop at heel: 2-1/2". LOP: 14-1/16". 2) Cal. 20 ga. 26" bbls with 2-3/4" chambers. Full length matted rib with twin ivory beads. #0 frame. CONDITION: 1) Exceptionally fine as found. Bbls retain 96-98% orig blued finish with a couple of light scratches and handling marks. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and orig with scattered light handling marks and retain 95-98% of their orig hand-rubbed finish. Receiver retains nearly all of its bright & bold orig case color, just starting to tone on bottom of frame and at breech balls. Trigger guard retains 70% orig blue, dark and rich at bow and end of tang, toning at grip. This is truly an exceptional skeet gun. 2) Exceptionally fine as found. Bbls retain 96-98% orig blued finish with a couple of light scratches and handling marks. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and orig with scattered light handling marks and repair behind top tang through wrist with a couple of other grain separations near trigger guard that can be restored and made invisible as they are directly along the grain. Butt checkering has been chased. Receiver retains approximately 90% bold case color, just starting to tone on bottom of frame and at breech balls. Trigger guard retains 80% plus orig blue, dark and rich at bow and end of tang, toning at grip.
