Bbls marked "Ithaca Gun Co." on right and "Ithaca N.Y. U.S.A.". Breech with approximately 1-1/2" wedge of oak leaf & acorn engraving. Water table marked with SN, grade and gauge, jeweled bbl flats with grade and SN. Gold-plated and checkered Miller SST, automatic ejectors and non-automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with gold shield near toe is of nicely figured American walnut checkered in fancy typical Grade 7 pattern, with fleur-de-lis checkered side panels and multiple fleur-de-lis around wrist. Buttstock is finished with what could be its orig Ithaca Gun Co. sunburst pad. Orig beavertail forearm with fully engraved Deeley latch and triangular ebony tip is finely checkered in 2-panel fleur-de-lis. Receiver is finely and fully engraved in acorn and oak pattern with multi color gold ducks in marsh scene on left and gold pheasants on right. Bottom of receiver is fully and finely engraved with multi colored gold American eagle and engraved in banner at head of floorplate "Made in U.S.A.". Trigger guard bow is fully oak leaf engraved with detailed stag head inlaid in gold. Trigger guard tang is with ovals and SN noted. Safety with trigger selector markings in gold. Bore diameter: left - .618, right - .618. Bore restrictions: left - .021 (mod), right - .009 (imp/cyl). Minimum wall thickness: left - .034, right - .032 . Weight: 7 lbs. 2 oz. Drop at comb: 1-5/8", drop at heel: 2-9/16". LOP: 14" from rear position single trigger. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of what appears to be an exceptional old professional quality restored finish. Action retains 30-50% orig case color somewhat hidden due to extensive engraving. Trigger guard retains approximately 40% of what appears to be its orig blue, mostly on bow, toned at tang. Buttstock & forearm are excellent and retain most of an older professionally restored finish. Checkering ever so slightly thinned at wrist, sharp on forearm. Forearm iron has been expertly reblued. Mechanics are very good, however left ejector will not hold when gun is unfired and open, and in need of minor adjustment, otherwise ejectors are in-time. Gun is tight and on the face. Bores are excellent and near mirror. This is an outstanding investment quality Ithaca. 51033-11 JSL (15,000-25,000)
