Breech ends are engraved with 1-1/2" of interwoven olive leaves and olives with shaded backgrounds. Bbl flats are stamped with SN, grade, and chambers. Lump is stamped "PROOF TESTED" and "X226". Bottoms of bbls are marked "BEST FLUID STEEL" and with crowned "D"s. Case hardened late NID action with automatic safety and gold-plated dbl triggers is engraved in typical "Grade 7" style, with near full coverage interwoven olive leaves and olives surrounding two-color gold inlaid game scenes on sides; pair of mallards in dark gold, drake with light gold ring around neck, take wing over marsh, with light gold bushes in foreground, on left side. Feather crotch figured American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13-7/8" over reddish Decelerator pad. Point pattern checkering at grip has line border and stippled central diamond. LOP: 13-7/8". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, near new, as completely refurbished, most likely by factory. Bbls retain essentially all of a high quality re-black. Action retains nearly all of what appears to be orig case hardening color with some high edge wear and a bit of silvering on fences. Buttstock appears to be a 1950's or '60's replacement, possibly factory, with fancy wood but atypical checkering. Pad is new. What appears to be orig forend wood, retains most of a varnish finish. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are excellent with some leading. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. 50594-14 MGM134 (9,000-14,000)
