SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 21 16 GAUGE SKEET. WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET 18355 16 GA MODERN; C&R 16 ga. 2-3/4" chambers with 28" bbls. Full length matted rib with steel mid bead and red front bead. Water table and bbl flats with typical Model 21 markings and chokes marked "WS1-WS2". SST, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-pt pattern of flame grained American walnut with checkered butt. Beaver tail forearm checkered in standard skeet pattern with roll type release. Bottom of frame marked "Skeet". Bore diameter: left - .663, right - .663. Bore restrictions: left - .007 (skeet), right - .000 (skeet). Weight: 7 lbs. 2 oz. Drop at comb: 1-9/16", drop at heel: 2-5/16". LOP: 13-15/16". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent as restored. Bbls retain approximately 95% restored blued finish, likely by Winchester. Buttstock & forearm are excellent and retain most of their professionally restored finish with scattered minor handling marks and a couple of light scratches. Receiver is excellent and retains 95% restored blued finish starting to tone on floorplate and at high points, likely reblued at the factory. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are excellent, near mirror. Gun is on-face. A scarce sub-gauge Model 21. 50594-28 JSL (6,500-10,000)
