FINE PIOTTI BOSS OVER-UNDER GAME GUN WITH EXTRA BARRELS.PIOTTIBOSS O/U968312GAMODERNCal. 12 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. 29-1/4" and 26-1/4" Demi-bloc bbls are engraved "Flli PIOTTI ITALY" on left side of top bbls which are fitted with narrow hand matted game ribs. 26-1/4" Bbl flats are stamped with 2001 Italian nitro proofs and with SN and makers name. 29-1/4" Bbls were made in 2007. Coin finished, low profile, OU action with hand detachable sidelocks (hidden takedown flap in left lockplate), features non-automatic safety, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, gold plated pins, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved with near full coverage small shaded scroll with a scattering of rose and acanthus sprays through scrolled background. Engravers signature (G. Ranetti) is on trigger plate. "PIOTTI" in gold, is in forend iron mortise. Single beaded trigger guard with matching scroll has SN in gold on tang. Wonderfully marbled and lightly figured dark European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 15" over skip line checkered wood butt, with well cut point pattern checkering on semi diamond grip. Matching full ejector forend has Anson type release. Gun is "2" of a pair with "II" in gold on rear of bbl ribs, top lever, and forend tip. 29-1/4" BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.726, bottom - .726. Bore restrictions: top - .025 (Mod), bottom - .021 (mod). Drop at heel: 2-3/8", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast about 1/4" off. Weight: 7 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 15". 26-1/4" BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.726, bottom - .725. Bore restrictions: top - .000 (cyl), bottom - .003 flare (skeet). Drop at heel: 2-7/16", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Cast about 1/4" off. Weight: 7 lbs. 4 oz. LOP: 15". PROVENANCE: Piotti proof certificate with specs for this gun. CONDITION: Excellent, showing light field use. Bbls have sharp edge wear. Action has some darkening of coin finish on lockplates. Stocks have relatively minor marks and light scratches, and a few bumps in their orig finish. Checkering lightly worn.
