MODERN; C&R - EXQUISITE FREDERICK WILHELM HEYM HIGH RELIEF ENGRAVED GAME GUN.

SN: 32604. Cal. 16 ga. 27-1/2" (70 cm) bbl., 2-3/4" chambers, full length matted tapered rib with brass front bead. Blued double triggers (front trigger is articulated), automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Fabulously figured dark grained capped pistol grip European walnut buttstock with curved comb, checkered with carved teardrops behind sidelocks and flowing flame pattern. Buttstock is finished with a thin "DECELERATOR" brand pad. Pistol grip cap is finely scalloped horn with engraved screw head. Splinter forearm is near fully checkered with Curtis push button plunger release and engraved escutcheon at center. Checkering on forearm in flame pattern towards muzzle and at breech and very finely elongated triangle at escutcheon. Receiver is fabulously deep relief engraved in full coverage oak leaf and game scene pattern. Cocking indicators towards bottom of sidelocks well integrated into engraving. Left lockplate with goose, 2 superbly executed foxes and 2 ducks in marsh scene surrounded by well-cut oak leaf. Right side of frame with 2 Pointers and 2 quail (?) in wood scene surrounded by full oak leaf coverage. Bottom of action with 2 woodcock in flight in deep relief, again surrounded by full oak leaf pattern and receiver is scalloped. Trigger guard bow is fully engraved with leaping rabbit and deep cut oak leaf pattern with SN and light leaf and scroll pattern noted at tang. Fences are deep chiseled in oak leaf relief and top of frame in punch dot shaded pattern and top tang with geometric design and oak leaf border pattern. Top lever is fully engraved and pierced oak leaf and acorn at thumb push. Bore diameter: left - .665, right - .666. Bore restrictions: left - .012 (IMP/CYL), right - .005 (IMP/CYL). Minimum wall thickness: left - .035, right - .026 . Weight: 6 lbs. 1 oz. Drop at comb: 1-1/2", drop at heel: 3-1/8". LOP: 14-7/16". SIZE: PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as restored. Bbls retain nearly all of a professional quality restored rust blued finish. Engraving has not been lost or washed in any way. Bottom rib with 2 tiny screws where a sling swivel mount once existed. Receiver is excellent and retains nearly all of its expertly restored coin finish with minute evidence of staining. Buttstock and forearm are exceptional as restored and retain nearly all of their hand rubbed finish. Beginnings of grain separation behind left lock and at back of top tang, though it is very minor and nearly imperceptible . Checkering is crisp and sharp. A small ebony plug at toe of stock where sling swivel mount once hung. Trigger guard and top lever are near mint and retain nearly all of their restored blued finish. Mechanics are crisp.
