Orig shipped to Abercrombie & Fitch 3/22/1918 for client Mrs. Henry Schley in Aiken, SC. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. # 00 frame and unstruck bbl weight of 2 lbs. 2 oz. making this the lightest recorded bbl weight known to the PGCA! Dbl triggers, extractors, auto safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with nickel shield and 14-1/4" LOP over orig Parker Brothers DHBP. DAH 2-5/8". Splinter forearm with Deely release and steel tip. Bore diameter: Right .560, Left .559. Bore restriction: Right bbl .029(extra full), Left bbl .024(full). Minimum wall thickness: Right bbl .022, Left bbl .020. Accompanying this gun is a PGCA research letter and sterling silver shooting trophy that measures approximately 4" tall and is marked "Clay Pigeon Cup/ won by/ Sturgess M Schley/ Second Prize/ Aiken/ March 1919". Weight: 5 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Very good, as found and used lovingly. Bbls retain about half orig blue with a couple of old repaired dents and light staining toward muzzle. Buttstock and forearm are good, as refinished long ago. Head of buttstock beginning to separate at cheeks. Receiver has toned grey with scattered staining and a flash or two of orig color remains. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are bright and shiny with minor orange peel.
