UPGRADED TRAP GRADE MODEL 21 DOUBLE-BARREL SHOTGUN WITH HUEY CASE. WINCHESTER 21 7338 20GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 20ga. Fine Model 21 with 26" bbls that have matted, concave solid rib, double beads and ejectors. Receiver has Winchester single selective trigger. Trigger plate, just behind the trigger, is engraved "MWD" which is apparently the initials of the engraver. Mounted with very nicely figured American walnut with diamond checkered beavertail forearm and paneled straight stock that has leather covered pad. Receiver is very nicely engraved in 21-5 style with the small vignette of a setter on point on the left side, a pointer on point on the right side and two pheasants on the trigger plate. Trigger plate is also marked "TRAP". Trigger bow is engraved with the small vignette of a spaniel's head. All the engraving is surrounded with foliate arabesque patterns without shading or background. Fences are engraved with oak leaves that have fine stippled background. Matching engraving patterns extend 2-1/4" over the chamber area of the bbls and on the forend iron. Bbls are choked WS1/WS2. Drop at the heel: 1-15/16". Drop at the comb: 1-5/8". LOP: 14-1/4" over the pad. Accompanied by a fine red felt lined Huey oak & leather trunk case, No. "193". Bottom is compartmented for the disassembled shotgun, an English nickeled square oiler & bits box, various cleaning gear & wiping cloths with a pair of nickeled snap caps and a brass and ebony cleaning rod. Inside the lid has a reproduction Winchester Model 21 gold embossed leather label. Top of the case has an oval brass plate engraved "HLM". Also accompanied by the case's orig green canvas cover. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching. Overall retains virtually all of its fine restored blue and wood finish. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bores. Case is virtually new. 51615-1 JRL (10,000-15,000)
