RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET GRADE 16 GAUGE TWO BARREL SET WITH CASE. WINCHESTER 21 10753 16GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 16ga. Very rare 2-bbl skeet grade set with 26" bbls that have concave matted solid rib with broken Bradley front bead and silver middle bead, choked WS-1/WS-2. The other set of bbls are 30", choked Full/Mod (right bbl opened to IMP-CYL) with concave matted solid rib, Bradley red front bead and silver middle bead. Both sets of bbls have ejectors. The 30" bbls are marked on the top right side "MODEL 21-WINCHESTER-16 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM.". The 26" bbls are marked only with "WINCHESTER-16 GAUGE" on the left side, indicating that one of the sets of bbls is probably a later addition. Mounted with nicely figured American walnut with kidney pattern checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered wood butt. Receiver has Winchester single selective trigger. Receiver is very nicely custom engraved, probably by renowned engraver Thierry Douget who was a close friend of Mr. Bokinsky. Engraving consists of two beautifully detailed flying ducks in a marsh scene on the left side, two flying Ruffed Grouse in a field scene on the right side and two pointers on point on the trigger plate. Trigger plate is also marked "SKEET". Remainder of the receiver, trigger plate and trigger guard have about 50% coverage, very fine foliate arabesque patterns with a chain border. Breech ends of both sets of bbls are also custom engraved with chain border patterns. Hinge pin has a large rosette around each end and all of the screw heads are engraved. Top tang has "SAFE" inlaid in gold. Drop at the heel: 2-7/16". Drop at the comb: 1-9/16". LOP: 14-1/8". Accompanied by green baize lined leather trunk case marked "MADE IN ITALY". Interior is compartmented for the stocked receiver and both sets of bbls. Case has brass hardware and leather handle. Covered compartment is empty. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains virtually all of a fine custom finish to both metal and wood, appears to be unfired since engraving and restoration. Mechanics are crisp. Bright shiny bores. Case is excellent. 51630-3 JRL (5,500-8,500)
