RARE BROWNING SUPERPOSED DIANA GRADE 410 SHOTGUN ENGRAVED BY VANDERMISSENG WITH CASE.BROWNINGDIANA185657410MODERNCal. 410 ga. 26-1/2" bbls. 3" chambers. Chokes marked Mod/Full. Full length matted ventilated low profile top rib with steel front bead. Gold plated sst, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Stock is FKST config, checkered in two-point pattern with 14" LOP over Browning HRBP. Round nosed forearm checkered in five-point pattern. Receiver is beautifully engraved in typical Diana pattern with pheasants in woods scene on left, ducks in marsh scene on right, quail on bottom, all surrounded by tasteful foliate scroll engraving. Trigger guard with two rabbits in woods scene. Top of action is neatly stippled. Housed in an orig Browning brown leather case with woolen interior. Weight: 6 lbs. 12 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially restored. Bbls retain 97% orig blued finish. Buttstock and forearm are factory original however refinished by Browning due to period hazing. Previous owner shipped gun to Browning for factory refinish. Receiver with coin finish is excellent with only very minor staining noted. Bores are excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Case is very good with some light rub marks and minor fraying. A gently used and well cared for .410 superposed. 51681-2 JSL (6,000-10,000)
