GORGEOUS EARLY BROWNING SUPERPOSED PIGEON GRADE 410 SHOTGUN. BROWNING PIGEON 1103J5 410 MODERN; C&R Cal. .410. 26-1/2" bbls. 3" chambers. Chokes marked Skeet/Skeet. Full length matted low profile ventilated top rib with steel mid and front beads. Gold plated SST, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Buttstock is RKLT configuration checkered in two-point pattern with 14-1/4" LOP over Browning HRBP. Round nose forearm checkered in two-point pattern on sides. Receiver is nicely engraved in typical Pigeon Grade pattern with light scroll and floral bouquet on bottom. Bust of scroll on trigger guard. Top of action with deep cut oak leaf engraving. Housed in an orig dark brown Browning hard case with woolen interior. Orig key included. Weight: 6 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, showing only very light field use. Bbls retain nearly all of a factory quality restored finish. Buttstock and forearm are excellent, and retain nearly all of their factory restored finish with a couple of light rub marks and a small dime-sized area of flaking finish on right hand side of butt near pistol grip. Receiver is excellent, with only minor staining and shows limited use. Case is excellent, with handling marks and light wear to interior. Also included is an older shipping box from Browning Arms Co. to a previous owner with postmark July 5, 1990. Box shows rub marks and water staining. There is no information on the box tying it to this gun though it is likely this is the box the gun was shipped back in when the restoration work was done. 51476-6 JSL (6,000-10,000)
