Scarce Conehammer reworked or late assembled to have a Bolo type bbl assembly with a 4" bbl and 100-1000 marked rear sight having grooved cursor and sight bar whose central groove extends into the abutting lug, standard for this variation. Usual chamber address and full SN on the left chamber flat. Small Crown/Crown U mark on the left side of the bbl extension. No proofing on the right side. Long extractor and independently retained firing pin. The only marking on the frame is full SN on back strap below locking lever. Follower spring is broken with a missing segment. Major parts are rust blued. Replaced extractor is unfinished. Fire blued rear sight, bolt stop, firing pin retainer and safety. Hammer is grayed and trigger is polished in-the-white. Serrated walnut panels. Lanyard ring has begun to separate. Complete with correct and factory matching Conehammer shoulder stock. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection - Germany. CONDITION: Approximately 90% orig blue with thinning on each side of bbl, rails, and the usual contact surfaces of mag well and floorplate. Freckled grip straps are transitioning to patina. Unfinished extractor with the balance of small parts having 70% orig fire blue with expected oxidation of the hammer and trigger. Comparable condition grips that have some oil darkening and handling dings, particularly the right panel that has a an area of flattening under the screw escutcheon. VG-excellent stock with a noticeable 4" crack on lower spine. Looped hinge and lug with orig finish commensurate with overall condition of pistol and stock. Dull bore with barely discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the less frequently encountered Conehammer variations, particularly with matching stock. 49828-78 LMA (4,500-9,000)
