SCARCE MAUSER C96 EARLY TRANSITIONAL LARGE RING WITH MATCHING STOCK. MAUSER C96 EARLY TRANSITIONAL 13175 7.63 MAUSER Cal. 7.63 mm. Standard configuration, Early Transitional Large Ring, largely made from Conehammer components, with 5.5" bbl and pinned 50-500 rear sight. Long extractor and separately retained firing pin. Standard 3-line chamber address with Crown/Crown U proofing on left side of chamber flat and antler acceptance on right side. Full SN on back of frame under locking lever with the full number or last few digits repeated on the rear sight components, including the cursor, bolt stop, firing pin retainer, firing pin and hammer. Disassembly shows a matching floorplate and follower. All sub-frame components matching, as does the locking block. Orig grips, each panel marked with the full SN. Lanyard ring present. Major components rust blued. Extractor, components of rear sight, bolt stop, firing pin retainer and grip screw fire blued. Gray hammer. Trigger polished bright. Complete with orig, matching shoulder stock. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection - Germany. CONDITION: Pistol with approximately 70% orig rust blue with bbl slightly fading, the right side having been lightly cleaned. Comparable condition small parts though most of the fire blue has largely faded from the cursor. Re-varnished grips with marred securing screw. Body of stock lightly sanded with touch-up extending to hinge and several small parts. This is one of the more difficult C96s to encounter, particularly with a factory matching stock. 49829-93 LMA (3,500-6,500)
