ATTRACTIVE MAUSER C96 CONEHAMMER WITH MATCHING STOCK. MAUSER C96 CONE HAMMER 2739 7.63 MAUSER Cal. 7.63 mm. Standard configuration Conehammer with 5.5" bbl, fixed front sight and slip-in 1-10 rear sight. Long extractor and separately retained firing pin. Chamber with 3-line address. Crown/Crown U proofing on left side of bbl extension. Antler acceptance on right side. Frame with very faint Crown/M inspector marking on top of backstrap. Serrated walnut grips. Lanyard ring present. Major components rust blued. Fire blued extractor, rear sight, bolt stop, firing pin retainer, safety and grip screw. Extended disassembly shows all matching SN, although the sear and transfer bar are unnumbered and the follower is a later, unnumbered replacement. Orig matching stock, with repaired lid, that has been stained and lightly re-varnished. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection - Germany. CONDITION: Approximately 97-98% bright orig rust blue on top assembly with comparable condition fire blued components. Frame is slightly faded with old repairs at rear, in areas of sub-frame recesses. Touch-up applied to the backstrap where the Crown/M acceptance is barely visible. Excellent grips in the same condition as top assembly. Attractive stock whose small parts show no evidence of enhancement. Overall, a very nicely presenting Conehammer with factory matching stock! 49829-50 LMA (3,500-6,500)
