WONDERFUL WALTHER PP PISTOL, A.F. STOEGER INSCRIPTION, HOLSTER. WALTHER PP 776505 7.65MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 7.65mm. Stunning early Walther PP, high polish blue with Stoeger address on slide and holster. Standard config Walther PP with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight with 90 degree red dotted safety. On crest of left side of slide is importer marking "A.F. Stoeger Inc. New York" in italicized type with serifs. On left side of slide in usual location is Walther banner, followed by Zella-Mehlis address suffixed by "Mod PP". Crown/N proofing on exposed barrel hood and repeated immediately below on slide. Full SN on right side of frame with last three digits lightly inscribed inside slide. "GERMANY" on left side of takedown lever. Black plastic panels each with Walther banner within an extensive field of border checkering. Correct magazine with seven indicator holes and Walther banner on bottom of left side. Complete with black holster marked "D.R.G.M." over Akah logo under the securing flap. "Walther" is lightly inked inside the lid. No spare magazine. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Approx 95-97% high polish salt blue finish with minimal slide wear. Most of thinning is on front and especially the back strap from handling. Comparable condition, fire blued safety showing no suggestion of enhancement. Crisp orig grips with only the most minute handling marks. Equally good magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent holster with intact stitching. Just a beautiful, early Stoeger marked Walther PP. 51568-46 LMA (2,000-3,000)
