WALTHER MARK II SPORT WITH FULL TARGET ACCESSORIES PISTOL. WALTHER MKII 58790L 22LR MODERN; C&R Cal. 22LR. Walther Mark II Sport, single action/double action, with 7-1/2" bbl fitted with factory muzzle brake, full complement of target weights, and extended box mag. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner over the "MARK II". The center of the slide has a 3-line address referencing the model, caliber and that it was made in France (under Walther license). The exposed bbl hood is marked with the French proof which is repeated on the right side of the frame next to the SN "58790L". The front sight blade is retained with two pins and a screw. Fully adjustable rear sight and spur hammer. Brown mottled plastic grips with the left panel having a thumb rest. Secured with a single transverse screw. Correct factory mag marked on the right side "France" attached to a squared base that serves to extend the grip. All major and most minor parts salt blued with the exposed bbl hood polished bright and chromed mag housing. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Approximately 99% bright orig salt blue except for discoloration of the front sight blade that could easily be improved. The rest of the gun has only minimal wear with no discernible thinning in the usual areas of contact. Grips are almost as good with just a very few minor scuffs. The same high condition applies to the mag that may need some encouragement to lock into place. In essence, the gun seems to have been admired far more than used. 51568-13 LMA (2,000-3,000)
