WINCHESTER THIRD MODEL 1873 SADDLE RING CARBINE.WINCHESTER1873 SRC294476B38 WCFCal. .38 WCF. 20" rnd bbl, full mag, stepped receiver with saddle ring attached, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube show a mottled brown patina overall with some high point wear and a trace of blue in protected areas. Carbine sights are good. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver is a smooth gray/brown patina overall with some scratches and stains and traces of blue under the saddle ring. Elevator is a mustard/brown patina with some mars and scratches that partially obliterate the cal mark. Hammer and lever are also a dark brown patina. Tang markings are sharp and clear. Stocks are very good, full sized with numerous mars and dents commensurate with the age of the carbine. Buttplate and bbl band are also a mottled brown patina. A nice example of the '73 carbine with a rare stepped receiver in this cal. 51379-16 TEP (3,000-3,500)
