WINCHESTER THIRD MODEL 1873 RIFLE WITH BEACH'S IVORY BEAD COMBINATION FRONT SIGHT.WINCHESTER1873 RIFLE206661B22 SHORTESACal. .22 Short. 24" rnd bbl, full mag, stepped receiver, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl and mag tube show a smooth plum/brown patina overall with considerable blue remaining in protected areas. Sights are very good. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is frosty with sharp rifling. Receiver retains 50-60% bright blue finish drifting into a pleasing plum/brown patina. Elevator is a mottled mustard patina with sharp cal mark. Tang markings are sharp and clear. Hammer and lever are a silver/gray patina with strong hints of case color overall. Dust cover retains 50% orig blue. Stocks are very good, full sized, and retain most of the varnish finish with minuscule handling marks overall. Buttplate retains 20% blue with wear on heel and toe. Forend cap is a plum/brown patina with traces of blue. A very nice example of a Winchester '73 rifle in a hard to find cal. 51379-20 TEP (2,500-3,500)
