WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 RIFLE WITH CASE COLORED RECEIVER.WINCHESTER18868361445-70Cal. .45-70. 26" rnd bbl with full mag, case colored receiver, straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube retain traces of blue in protected areas with the balance turning a silver/brown patina. Bbl has some staining and light pitting on the top. 1886 ladder sight is very good. Bbl markings are clear and sharp. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver is a silver/gray patina with some speckling at the carry point and traces of orig case color especially on the right side. Hammer and lever are a plum/brown patina. Tang markings are sharp. Stocks are good, full size and show some handling marks overall, wrist has a chip at the right tang, there is also a gouge on the right side of the butt. Buttplate and forend cap are silver/brown patina with some staining. A good example of an '86 rifle in a popular cal. 51138-37 TEP (3,000-5,000)
