VERY DESIRABLE FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892.WINCHESTER1892 RIFLE168738 WCFCal. .38 WCF. 24" oct bbl, full mag, sporting sights, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 90% of the orig blue finish with sharp markings. Sights are very good. Mag tube has drifted to plum/brown patina. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver shows 80-90% orig blue finish with slight carry wear. Bolt retains 90% blue finish. Loading gate shows a generous amount of fire blue. Hammer and lever retain a generous amount of case color. Tang markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized, and retain nearly all of the varnish finish with only a few slight mars and dents. Buttplate is a sliver/gray patina. Forend cap retains 90% blue. A very nice first year production '92 Winchester rifle in far above average condition. 51379-5 TEP (5,000-6,000)
