WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 TAKEDOWN RIFLE.WINCHESTER18925856232 WCFCal. .32 WCF. 24" oct bbl, full mag, takedown, Lyman globe front sight, rear tang sight with large disc reticle, rare double set triggers, nicely figured American walnut stocks with crescent butt. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag show generous traces of blue in protected areas with the balance turning a plum/brown patina. Sights are good. Bbl markings are clear. Rear sight mortise is plugged. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 30-40% orig blue finish with slight scratching and carry wear on the bottom, numbers are clear. Hammer and lever retain traces of case color in protected areas. Set triggers function well. Tang sight is also very good. Staff is slightly bent at top. Stocks are very good, full size with nice figure overall, small hole at the toe where a swivel was once mounted. Buttplate and forend cap are silver/gray patina. An opportunity to obtain a very nice '92 rifle with some very rare features. 51138-12 TEP (2,000-3,000)
