WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.WINCHESTER189242616425-20MODERN; C&RCal 25-20. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4" oct bbl, full magazine, half nickel front sight with screw and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Bbl has standard markings. Mounted with nicely figured, uncheckered, slab saw American walnut with straight stock & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 95% strong orig blue. Receiver retains about 88-90% orig blue with loss areas from flaking, not wear. Receiver also has some fine pin-prick pitting. Hammer retains dark case colors and the lever bright case colors on the sides faded on outer faces. Wood is sound with nicks, scratches & dings and retains most orig varnish.
