WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE IN 38-55 CALIBER.WINCHESTER1894 SRC55744838-55MODERN; C&RCal. .38-55. 20" rnd bbl, full mag, saddle ring attached, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube retain 50% blue finish with some erosion on the bbl toward the muzzle. Front bbl band is a plum/brown patina. Front sight is slightly battered. Rear sight is good. Bbl marks are sharp. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 30-40% orig blue with most of the wear at the carry point and on the top of receiver. Tang marking is sharp. Hammer and lever show traces of case color in protected areas with the balance a silver/gray patina. Stocks are very good, full sized, and show minor handling marks overall. Buttplate is a smooth gray/brown patina with some erosion at the heel. Front bbl band is also a gray/brown patina with some erosion. A nice 1894 SRC in a very popular cal for collectors. 51138-33 TEP (1,500-2,500)
