WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 ROUND BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE. WINCHESTER 1894 682991 30 W.C.F. MODERN; C&R Cal. .30 W.C.F. 26" round bbl. Full mag. Standard sights. Blue finish. Straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent butt and steel forend cap. Front sight shows Nov 4 02 Patent mark. Rear sight is sporting style. Bbl shows two-line Winchester address and patent mark, rolled on left at midpoint. Nickel steel mark on left side of rear sight. Cal. mark on left side at breech. Breech of bbl shows WP Proof in oval at breech. There is also a WP Proof on top ring of receiver. SN stamped on lower forward part of frame. Upper tang shows model and trademark stamp. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube show 60% blue finish with some flaking and staining toward muzzle of bbl. Front sight is battered. Rear sight is good. Markings are sharp. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver has flaked to a smooth grey brown patina overall with some traces of blue in protected areas. Hammer shows traces of blue finish and may be a replacement. Lever is a silver grey patina with hints of case color near the hinge. All markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, slightly undersized and retain nearly all of the varnish finish with slight handling marks overall. Stocks show evidence of light cleaning and revarnish. Buttplate is a silver grey patina as is the forend cap. A nice model 1894 Winchester rifle. 51764-13 TEP (800-1,200)
