WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE CARBINE WITH BOLT PEEP SIGHT.WINCHESTER7110978348 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. .348 WCF. 20" bbl, half mag, blue finish, straight grained American stocks with checkered pistol grip and forend, steel shotgun buttplate, quick detach sling swivels with sling. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 90% blue finish going plum toward the muzzle with some slight staining. Mag tube also retains 90% blue finish. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 80% bright blue finish with most of the wear at the carry point. Hammer and lever also show considerable blue finish. SN is sharp and clear. Bolt sight needs adjustment. Stocks are very good and retain nearly all of the varnish finish with handling marks and scratches overall. Checkering is sharp with some slight bruising. Pistol grip cap shows slight erosion, but otherwise very good. Steel buttplate is a silver/gray patina. A very nice example of a hard to find Winchester model 71 carbine, the direct descendant of the model 1886. Made in 1937. 51544-4 TEP (2,000-3,000)
