WINCHESTER MODEL 71 STANDARD GRADE RIFLE.WINCHESTER712819348 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. .348 WCF. 24" rnd bbl, half mag, hooded front sight, sporting rear sight, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with checkered steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 80% blue that is thinning toward the muzzle with some slight staining. Mag cap is a gray/brown patina. Bbl markings are sharp. Sights are very good. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 80% blue finish with most of the wear at the carry point. Loading gate is bright metal with some staining on the spring. Hammer and lever show considerable blue with staining overall. Stocks are very good, with a considerable amount of the varnish finish that has flaked and chipped at the pistol grip and left rear of forend. Steel buttplate shows a plum/brown patina. Forend cap shows a gray patina with traces of blue. A nice standard model 71 rifle. 51564-17 TEP (1,750-2,500)
