COLT FIRST GENERATION PRE-WWII SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.COLTSAA24786938-40MODERN; C&RCal 38 WCF (38-40). Blue & color case hardened with 4-3/4" bbl, full front sight, 2-line address and caliber marking on left side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates and Rampant Colt in a circle. Mounted with 2-pc Rampant Colt hard rubber grips. This 1903 Colt shows honest use and wear. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains about 90% strong orig blue with a couple small spots of surface rust. Ejector housing retains 80-85% orig blue, thin on outer radius. Frame retains most of its orig case colors, very strong and bright in sheltered areas, cleaned to gray on left recoil shield and thin on loading gate. Cylinder retains about 60% orig blue with a few small scattered spots of pitting on one land. Hammer retains about 60-65% case colors. Grip frame retains bright blue in sheltered area with the front and backstraps showing a blue/gray patina. Grips show light diamond point wear. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with a few scattered spots of pitting. 51500-19 JRL (2,500-3,500)
