VERY LATE PRE-WAR COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.COLTSAA35709932-20MODERN; C&RCal 32 WCF (32-20). Blue & color case hardened with 4-3/4" bbl, altered front sight and 2-line bbl address with caliber marking on the left side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates with Rampant Colt. Serial number is found on bottom front of the frame and on right sides of front & backstraps and inside each grip. This 1940 Colt is among the last of the single actions produced prior to WWII. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching. Overall retains about 98% crisp orig finish with only faint sharp edge wear on the bbl & ejector housing with light fading on top strap & recoil shields of the frame. Frame shows brilliant case colors in the sheltered areas. Backstrap has light freckles. Grips are sound showing very light diamond point wear. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 51152-1 JRL (2,000-4,000)
