ANTIQUE FIRST GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.COLTSAA14139945LCCal 45 Colt. Blue & color case hardened with 4-3/4" bbl, full front sight, 2-line address & caliber marking on left side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates and Rampant Colt in broken circle. Base pin is first type with dimpled ends. Mounted with 2-pc Rampant Colt hard rubber grips. This 1891 revolver shows very little use, just poor storage. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains about 40-50% orig blue, bright in sheltered areas with the balance a blue/brown patina. Ejector housing is a blue/brown patina in the gullets, cleaned to silver on the outer radius. Frame retains traces of case colors in the most sheltered areas being mostly a gray/brown patina. Grip frame is matching gray/brown patina as is the cylinder. Left grip has a chipped toe, otherwise grips are sound showing moderate wear. Mechanics are crisp, strong bright bore with scattered fine pitting. 51500-18 JRL (2,000-3,000)
