WONDERFUL FULL SIDELOCK WILLIAM CASHMORE 16 GA GAME GUN.WILLIAM CASHMORESIDELOCK2063316GAMODERN; C&RCal. 16 ga. 26" bbls. 2-9/16" chambers. Choked Imp Cyl/Imp Mod. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Bbls marked "William Cashmore Birmingham, England / Made for Kirkwood Bros Inc. Boston, Mass U.S.A.". Dbl triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Round knob buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with silver shield near toe and 14-1/2" LOP over modern brown leather covered pad. Splinter forearm checkered in three-point pattern with Curtis push-button release. Greener crossbolt locking and side clips. Receiver is nicely scroll and game scene engraved - two setters on right, three quail on left surrounded by well executed scroll engraving and marked "Wm Cashmore" in front of locks. Gold "S" in front of safety. Weight: 6 lbs. 4 oz. CONDITION: Bbls retain approx 90% of what appears to be their orig blued finish. Lightly toned at carry point. Receiver retains approx 35-40% orig case color. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain most of an older restored finish with light scratches and handling marks throughout. Trigger guard and top lever retain most of an ancient restored finish. Bores are bright and shiny with a patch or two of light frosting in right bore.
