NEAR MINT J.P. SAUER AND SON BOXLOCK 12 GA SHOTGUN.J.P. SAUERBOXLOCK19141812GAMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 28" Krupp fluid steel bbls with 2-5/8 chambers. Choked Imp Mod/Extra Full. Made in Prussia with dbl triggers, extractors, auto safety. Round knob pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with brass oval near toe and 14" LOP over lined HRBP. Receiver is lightly scroll engraved and marked "J.P. Sauer and Sons" on both sides. Splinter forearm checkered in two-point pattern with Deeley release and small Schnabel tip. Weight: 6 lbs. 6 oz. PROVENANCE: The William Hammond Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine and near mint retaining nearly all orig finish to both wood and metal. Bbls retain 98-99% orig rust-blue. Receiver and trigger guard retain about all of their deep, dark, bold orig case color. Buttstock and forearm are exceptional and retain all of their orig finish with the most minute of handling marks. Brilliant shiny bores.
