WINCHESTER MODEL 52B SPORTER BOLT ACTION RIFLE.WINCHESTER52B71142B22LRMODERN; C&RCal. .22 LR. 24" rnd bbl, blue finish, ramp front sight, Lyman adjustable receiver sight, straight grained American walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forearm. Stock has checkered steel shotgun buttplate, cheekpiece, pistol grip cap, and Winchester sling mounts attached. Stock has an ebony forend cap. Bbl shows 2-line Winchester address and trademark in front of model and cal designation rolled on left side near breech. "WP" proof is stamped at left breech and left forward side of receiver in front of SN. Front receiver ring has Winchester trademark rolled on right side. Bolt has SN written with electric pencil on bottom flat. Forward trigger guard is marked "Sporting". Mag has Winchester trademark. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl shows 95% bright blue finish that is drifting slightly to plum/brown toward the muzzle. Front sight hood has high point wear, there is a slight abrasion on the left rear of the sight ramp. Bbl markings are sharp and clear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 90% matte blue finish that is drifting slightly to a plum/blue with minor high point wear and sharp markings. Bolt handle shows a smooth plum/blue patina. All markings are sharp. Rear sight is fine, retaining nearly all the blue finish and sharp markings. Trigger guard retains 95% bright blue finish with a few minor scratches. Stock is fine, with sharp checkering and only minuscule handling marks overall. Forend cap shows light scratching. Buttplate retains 80% blue with sharp checkering. Pistol grip cap is very good with some light staining and a few small dents. Sling swivel mounts retain considerable blue finish. An opportunity to obtain a very fine Winchester model 52B Sporting rifle in a condition that would be hard to improve upon. 51500-8 TEP (3,000-5,000)
