Weight: 7 lbs. 11 oz. This exact gun is pictured on p. 234 of "The Parker Story" where it is captioned as a $135 Grade. This lot being offered without reserve. CONDITION: Extremely fine for a gun of this vintage. Bbls retain approx 85-90% bold vivid Damascus pattern just starting to tone. Buttstock and forearm are exceptional and orig and retain nearly all of their orig finish with light scratches and handling marks throughout. Receiver retains approx 40-50% strong orig case color particularly vivid on lock plates and top, toned on bottom. Steel buttplate retains 70% toned orig blued finish. Bores are very good with minor pitting, left more shiny than right. Mechanics are crisp. Case is in excellent overall condition for its age. Leather handles are gone, one latch is missing, but otherwise very good. Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book likely misidentifies this gun as originally having been produced with 30" bbls, and as 12 ga. Keels are present and muzzles touch and this gun also fits perfectly in the case. In its orig case, the rarity and collectability of this gun cannot be overstated. 51261-2 JSL (4,500-7,500)
