EARLY PARKER BROS DHE 12 GA GAME GUN. PARKER DHE 138874 12GA MODERN; C&R Cal 12 ga. 30" Titanic steel bbls. 2-5/8" chambers. Choked Cyl/Imp Mod. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. #2 frame with unstruck bbl weight 4 lbs. Non-selective sgl trigger by Miller, auto ejectors, auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in standard DHE pattern with nickel oval near toe engraved "FM" with 14" LOP over "Old English Type pad by Pachmayr with two 1/4" black spacers. Splinter forearm is checkered in standard DHE pattern with Deeley release and steel tip. Frame is engraved in typical DHE style with setter on right, pointer on left and four birds on floorplate all surrounded by Parker early light scroll engraving. Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz. PROVENANCE: The Forest R. Marshall Collection. CONDITION: Very good as partially refurbished. Bbls retain nearly all of a re-blacked finish, engraving re-cut at breech end. Receiver and trigger guard have toned mostly grey. Trigger plate has been restored with new color added at trigger, presumably when the new trigger was installed. Buttstock and forearm retain most of their restored finish with light handling marks. Gun is tight on face, trigger works, ejectors are slightly out of time. Bores are bright and shiny with minor orange peel and a small ping in right tube towards muzzle has been repaired. A nice late season pheasant hunting partner. 51143-7 JSL (2,000-3,500)
