LOT OF TWO FANTASTIC AND NEAR MINT L.C. SMITH FIELD GRADE 12 GA SHOTGUNS.L.C. SMITHFIELD35008512GAMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 27-3/4" Armor steel bbls (orig length) with 2-3/4" chambers. Choked Mod/Imp Mod. Full length matted top rib with brass bead. Dbl triggers, extractor, three-position auto safety. Capped full pistol gripped buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with serrated lined HRBP. 14" LOP. Scarce early long trigger guard with two orig fasteners. Splinter forearm checkered in three-point pattern with rare Curtis push-button release. Unengraved frame stamped "L.C. Smith" on both sides. Weight: 7 lbs. 10 oz. PROVENANCE: The William Hammond Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine near new retains nearly all orig finish to both wood and metal. Bbls just staring to tone. Buttstock and forearm are extremely fine and retain nearly all of their orig finish. Forearm with minute beginning age separation near push button. Receiver retains virtually of its orig case color and some orig varnish. Trigger guard retains approx 95% blue finish just starting to tone with minor flecking. Breech face unmarred indicating this gun likely test fired only. 51407-20 JSL (1,750-2,750)

L.C. SMITH FIELD R39151 12GA MODERN; C&R SN R39151. Cal 12 ga. 30" Armor steel bbl with 2-3/4" chambers. Choked Full/Full. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Regular weight frame, dbl triggers, extractor, three-position auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with 14-1/4" LOP over orig lined HRBP. Splinter forearm checkered in three-point pattern is friction type. Unengraved frame stamped "L.C. Smith" both sides. Weight: 7 lbs. 14 oz. PROVENANCE: The William Hammond Collection. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, near mint and likely test fired only. Bbls retain nearly all their orig blued finish with a couple of minute spots of toning. Buttstock and forearm are extremely fine and retain nearly all of their orig finish with a couple of tiny handling marks and impressions. Receiver retains nearly all of its deep bold orig case color and some orig lacquer. Brilliant shiny bores, mechanics are crisp. Simply put, this gun is near mint and shows almost no ring on breech face indicating it as test fired only. Very difficult to improve on. 51407-21 JSL (1,750-2,750)
