RARE DANGERFIELD & LEFEVER HIGH GRADE SHOTGUN.DANGERFIELD AND LEFEVERHAMMER GUN2410 GACal. 10 ga. 30" laminated steel bbls. Full length laminated top rib with brass front bead, double triggers, extractors, no safety. F.S. Dangerfield's patent thumb push opener. Round knob pistol grip buttstock. Checkered in 3-pt pattern with 13-3/4" LOP over full steel checkered buttplate with long top strap. Splinter forearm is near fully checkered with steel tip and wedge release. Receiver is nicely scroll engraved and marked on sides "DANGERFIELD & LEFEVER AUBURN NY". Trigger guard bow with beautiful pair of birds in oval surrounded by nice scroll engraving. Pictured on p.13-15 of Elliott's book LEFEVER: GUNS OF LASTING FAME. CONDITION: Excellent for this model. Bbls retain nearly all of an older restored rebrown finish. Receiver is mostly gray, though original and screws are mostly very good. Buttstock and forearm have been competently restored with minor repairs and have minor handling marks and light scratches. Action is good. Bores are very good with minor pits. One of the best Dangerfield & Lefevers known. 51645-4 JSL133 (1,000-2,000)
